Shipping
Combined Orders
When ordering multiple products from different product categories (for example Reinforcing Bar and Plate Compactors) you may see combined / different shipping rates during the checkout process. Due to the different shipping methods used by some of our suppliers, we might not always be able to ship different categories of products together (for example Reinforcing Bar and Plate Compactors) on the same day. If you encounter an error message during the checkout process when calculating shipping costs, please try to order the products separately or alternatively please flick us a quick message via our online chat or call (07) 222 3568 or e-mail support@buildquip.co.nz for a shipping quote.
Reinforcing Products
Our reinforcing suppliers have factories located across several major cities in New Zealand. If during the checkout process you find that we cannot ship to your selected address, please contact us via our live chat or phone (07) 222 3568 for a shipping quote.
All reinforcing products will usually ship out within 2-3 business days (see below for urgent orders). Links, Stirrups, Corner Bars & Starter Bars (if not in stock) might only be shipped within 2-5 days to allow for the bars to be cut and bent, depending on the workload of our Suppliers.
For smaller orders (bar chairs, links, stirrups) your order may be delivered by couriers or a freight company to your job site or business address.
For larger (heavier) orders or any 6m (or longer) reinforcing bar or mesh orders, our deliveries are usually made via an 8T hi-ab truck to your construction site. Due to the dimensions of reinforcing stock bars and mesh, the delivery fee for 1 x single 6m reinforcing bar (or 1 x single sheet of mesh) will be the same as for an full 8T full truck load.
The transport companies charge us an hourly rate to deliver Reo + Mesh products, which includes the trip to your site + offloading + return trip. We have included a max. of 30mins to offload your order in our shipping price. For any delays beyond our control experienced when offloading your order (e.g. truck access not available, insufficient room to offload the products, nobody available to receive the delivery, etc.), additional charges might apply.
Machinery & General Site Supplies
We aim to ship out all orders within 1-2 business days after receiving payment.
At this stage please be advised that all plate compactors, reversible plate compactors, trench rammers and roller compactors will be delivered to your closest Mainstream Freight Depot and must be collected within 3 working days after reaching your local Mainstream Freight Depot. Please visit Mainstream's website to find their closest depot - click on any of the stars on their map to reveal the address.
We are an online business who levers our relationships with trusted Suppliers and Business Partners across New Zealand to bring our Clients the best value, great Customer service and value for money products. We may from time to time have your order delivered to your specified address directly by our Business Partners and/or Suppliers' vehicles in order to save you time and money.
Urgent Orders
If your order is more urgent than forgetting about your wedding anniversary, please contact us via live chat or phone (07) 222 3568 to find out if we are able to send your order to your site urgently. We will get in touch with our suppliers to find you the fastest, most economical option.
Order Confirmation
As soon as we receive your order we automatically check to confirm that your order is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment we will process the charges and get to work preparing your order for shipment.
If your order is not available for immediate shipment, then we won't charge your card and we'll reach out to you via e-mail to find out if you'd be happy to wait a few days or if your order requires to be processed urgently. We pride ourselves in our top level communication and customer service!
Order Shipment
If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card it will ship within 1-2 business days from the date of payment for your order. We will send you shipping confirmation within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive shipping confirmation from us within 2-3 business days of your order feel free to follow up with us at support@buildquip.co.nz
Damages
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery or do not agree to accept the delivery. If you do accept delivery you are required to immediately take photos using your smart phone or camera of the damaged packaging or products inside the packaging. If your item(s) do arrived damaged please send photos to support@buildquip.co.nz then visit our Easy Returns page and lodge your return claim online.
