SE82 Seismic Reinforcing Mesh Grade 500E (Large Size - 6.06 x 2.43m)
SE82 mesh is suited for engineered applications such as suspended floors or engineered slabs where a specific minimum strength needs to be achieved. SE82 seismic mesh is usually specified by engineers during the design stage of projects. SE82 reinforcing mesh has been engineered to meet the shaky conditions of the New Zealand landscape. All SE82 mesh sheets have full traceability and can be used with confidence.

What is SE82 Mesh?
- “S” stands for square (shape of the grids)
- “E” stands for earthquake (seismic grade)
- “8” stands for wire diameter in mm
- “2” stands for centres between wires (200mm)
SE82 seismic certified Grade 500E reinforcing mesh is manufactured in accordance with NZS4671:2019 Ductility Class E and NZS3604:2011 standards (NZ compliant).
Applications of Grade 500E Seismic Mesh
Seismic grade 500E reinforcing mesh is designed for high-strength performance in earthquake-prone areas, meeting strict engineering requirements for ductility and load resistance. It helps concrete structures flex under seismic forces without catastrophic failure. Installed per engineering plans, the mesh is supported on chairs or spacers to position it correctly within the slab or wall’s depth. Concrete is poured to fully encase the steel, ensuring maximum bond and strength, with overlaps and ties secured to maintain structural integrity during seismic events.

Reinforcing / Mesh Deliveries
Our shipping calculator at our checkout page is set to calculate the delivery cost for a full 8 Tonne load delivered to the Auckland and Christchurch area (within 30km). For any other regions or if you have a smaller load, please request a delivery quote through our Get A Quote page.
Unless we provided you with a specific date, all reinforcing products will usually ship out within 2-3 business days. All reinforcing bars that need to be cut & bent (such as links, stirrups, corner bars & starter bars - if they are not in stock) might only be shipped within 2-5 days to allow for the bars to be cut and bent, depending on the workload of our manufacturers.
All our Reinforcing / Mesh deliveries are usually made via flat deck truck to our Customers' business or construction site. Small orders can be offloaded by hand. For larger orders our Customers need to provide a forklift / crane / digger / manitou to offload at site - alternatively please contact us if Hiab truck delivery is required.
Fencing, Waratahs & Barriers
Our shipping calculator at our checkout page is set to calculate the delivery cost for a truck load delivered to the Auckland and Christchurch area (within 30km). For any other regions or if you have a smaller load, please request a delivery quote through our Get A Quote page.
Unless we provided you with a specific date, all fencing / barrier products will usually ship out within 2 business days.
All our fencing / barriers deliveries are usually made via flat deck / curtainside truck to our Customers' business or construction site. Small orders can be offloaded by hand. For larger orders our Customers need to provide a forklift / crane / digger / manitou to offload at site - alternatively please contact us if Hiab truck delivery is required.
Machinery (compactors / saws / concrete mixers /etc.)
We aim to ship out all orders the next business day after receiving payment.
We can provide a custom quote to deliver your order to your business address - please request a delivery quote through our Get A Quote page.
Alternatively our shipping calculator at our checkout page will calculate the cost to deliver your order to your closest Mainstream / Mainfreight Depot and must be collected within 3 working days after reaching the Depot.
Order Confirmation
As soon as we receive your order we automatically check to confirm that your order is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment we will process the charges and get to work preparing your order for shipment.
If your order is not available for immediate shipment, then we won't charge your card and we'll reach out to you via e-mail to find out if you'd be happy to wait a few days or make alternative arrangements.
Damages
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery or do not agree to accept the delivery. If you do accept delivery you are required to immediately take photos using your smart phone or camera of the damaged packaging or products inside the packaging. If your item(s) do arrived damaged please send photos to support@buildquip.co.nz then visit our Easy Returns page and lodge your return claim online.
