Why Choose Grade 500E or Grade 300E?

Manufactured with a yield strength of 500 MPa or 300 MPa, these steel reinforcing bars are tougher than a rugby forward and just as reliable. All reinforcing bar used in the New Zealand building industry must comply with the AS/NZS 4671 standard for the use of reinforced concrete. This high-strength, earthquake-grade rebar works as hard as you do and is designed to withstand seismic events, ensuring your structures stay standing when the ground starts grooving. 


Low Carbon Reinforcing Bar

The vast majority of rebar supplied throughout New Zealand is manufactured locally by Pacific Steel Limited, however several overseas mills have now also obtained the Grade "E" certification and are starting compete by offering material with lower levels of embedded carbon and competitive pricing. Please feel free to get in touch with us if your project has sustainability / low carbon requirements so we can discuss availability - we are able to source reinforcing bar from several different suppliers nationwide.
